Regular ELEXON Events
Introduction Seminar
ELEXON’s Introduction Seminar is for newcomers to the industry, those that have recently entered the market, or in the process of doing so. It provides an overview of the electricity industry including the Balancing and Settlement Code (BSC) arrangements.
The seminar has been so popular that we are holding four events in 2008, It includes presentations from National Grid – the transmission operator, Ofgem – the gas and electricity regulator, an electricity supplier and an electricity generator which explain their interactions with ELEXON and the BSC.
The next Introduction Seminar is on 4 September at ELEXON’s offices in London. For more
information or to register for this event, go to the
Introduction Seminar page.
Supplier Volume Allocation (SVA) Forum
The SVA Forum helps you learn about issues and changes in the SVA arrangements. Hosted by ELEXON, the forum runs every four to six months (depending on issues) and covers any Approved SVA related Modifications; SVA Release planning; changes and developments within the Performance Assurance Framework; SVA and corporate developments.
To make the most of the day we also offer training sessions, hold Change or Standing Issues Groups, and workshops on the same day. Workshops are used to discuss issues and ideas for improvements to existing processes and arrangements. Previous groups have covered Unmetered Supplies, the BSC Audit, Performance Assurance Framework (PAF) Review and Material Exceptions.
The next SVA Forum is on 16 July 2008 and will focus on Performance Assurance topics. More details are provided in
Newscast Issue 192(80Kb)
. You can register to attend using the online form available on the SVA Forum Event page.
