Regular ELEXON Events
Introducing ELEXON Seminar
Our Introduction Seminar is for newcomers to the industry, and new market entrants.We
give an overview of the electricity industry and the Balancing and Settlement Code
(BSC) arrangements.
Held four times a year, the session includes presentations from National Grid,
Ofgem and companies fulfilling different roles in the industry.
The next Introducing ELEXON Seminar is on Tuesday 14 September 2010 at
ELEXON’s offices in London but this session is now fully booked. We are holding another seminar on 1 December.

Supplier Volume Allocation (SVA) Forum
The SVA Forum helps you learn about issues and changes in the SVA arrangements.
Hosted by ELEXON, the forum runs once a year (depending on issues) and covers:
- any Approved SVA related Modifications;
- SVA Release planning;
- changes and developments in the Performance Assurance Framework; and
- SVA and corporate developments.
To make the most of the day we also offer training sessions, hold Change or Standing
Issues Groups, and workshops. Workshops are held to discuss issues and ideas for
improvements to existing processes and arrangements. Previous groups have covered
Unmetered Supplies, the BSC Audit, Performance Assurance Framework (PAF) Review
and Material Exceptions.
Cross-Codes Electricity Forum
ELEXON and National Grid are launching a regular cross-codes electricity forum.
Sessions will be every other month at ELEXON’s offices in London.
Each session consists of an education session in the morning, and an informal ‘break-out’
discussion forum in the afternoon. At these meetings, you can learn about the processes
for changing the BSC, the Connection and Use of System Code (CUSC) and (where relevant)
the Grid Code. You can also get an overview of the current changes being proposed
under these codes, and talk to us or National Grid about any issues or ideas that
are not part of any formal change process.

Supplier Agents’ Forum and Software Technical Advisory Group
We also host the Supplier
Agents’ Forum and the
Software Technical Advisory Group regularly. For more information about
