BSC Review
ELEXON reviews an aspect of the BSC’s implementation and operation every two years. This is in accordance with
section C3.8 of the BSC(220Kb)
. Once complete, a report is published on this page of the website for all BSC Parties and the Authority for information and comment.
In 2008/09 we will review Section A ‘Parties and Participation’(151Kb)
of the BSC. We committed to delivering this review in our 2008-11 Business Plan which was open to industry comment in December 2007 – January 2008. Our business case for this review arose from customer feedback asking us to consider the inefficiencies in the rules and the likely impact of being seen as ‘barrier to entry and exit from the market’. Previous Reviews
2006/07 ‘Funds Administration and Solutions’ The review investigated known funds administration issues, potential solutions and information on further issues participants experienced. Following the review Standing Issue 27 ‘Funds Administration’ and Modification Proposal P214 ‘Issue Relating to Funds Administration’ were raised to progress issues and potential solutions.
