Q8 Committee
Under BSC Section Q8, BSC Parties may claim compensation if they have suffered a
material loss due to being unable to submit Physical Notifications during an unplanned
Transmission Company Outage.
The BSC Panel has delegated authority to assess these claims to the Q8 Committee.
The Q8 Committee has the same members as the Trading Disputes Committee (TDC) and
meetings are held when necessary. A list of the Q8 Members is in the menu to the
left of this page.
Claims must be notified in writing to ELEXON within 10 business days after the end
of the outage. Under the BSC Section Q8 procedures, a BSC Party cannot appeal the
Q8 Committee’s determinations.
