Information on the Party Service Lines
Party Service Line (PSL) 100 was implemented on 1 November 2007 as part of the November
2007 Release.
PSL100 combines the non-functional requirements from each of the existing PSLs,
collated into one document.
PSL100 was created at the request of the BSC Panel, following the CSD Review, when
it was agreed that a single non-functional PSL should be created and the functional
requirements in the existing PSLs should be moved into the relevant BSCPs to reduce
duplication within the CSDs. More information on the findings from the CSD review
is available in
BSC Panel paper 115/08(52Kb)
.
Now that PSL100 has been implemented, ELEXON is working to move the functional requirements
out of each of the existing PSLs, into the relevant BSCPs so that the role specific
PSLs can be removed entirely. This is being done in a staged process over the course
of the next year to allow ELEXON to manage its workload to prioritise Party raised
changes.
Once the functional requirements have been removed from each of the role specific
PSLs, all reference to these documents will be removed fully from the BSC via a
housekeeping modification, which is currently scheduled for implementation in the
November 2008 Release.
Further information about which PSLs will be targeted at each Release is included
in
Newscast issue 170(91Kb)
.
