BSC Agents' Process Model
This is a model of the processes carried out by the BSC
Agents under the Balancing and Settlement Code.

Purpose
The purpose of this model is to assist in the understanding
of BSC Agent processes and to provide a pictorial
representation of the documentation which describes the BSC
Agent’s obligations. It is made available to
organisations tendering for the BSC Agent and related services
as an aid to their understanding of the BSC arrangements.
Scope
The model covers the main automated and manual processes
which the BSC Agents must carry out to meet their obligations.
It comprises BSC Agents, BSC Agent Systems, business processes,
events and flows together with the relationships between BSC
Agents. It covers the following BSC Agent Services:
- Balancing Mechanism Reporting Agent (BMRA)
- Central Data Collector Agent (CDCA)
- Central Registration Agent (CRA)
- Energy Contract Volume Aggregation Agent (ECVAA)
- Funds Administration Agent (FAA)
- Settlement Administration Agent (SAA)
- Supplier Volume Allocation Agent (SVAA)
The model also includes interfaces to and from the Party
Agent applications which are maintained by ELEXON:
- Non Half-Hourly Data Aggregator Application (NHHDA)
- Non Half-Hourly Data Collection Application (EAC/AA)
The model shows the sequence and timings of processes as a
hierarchy of event flow diagrams from the perspective of the
BSC Agent Service, with at the top level, a high-level overview
of the BSC Agents and their relationships; at the middle level
a high-level overview of each individual Agents processes; and,
at the bottom level, an indication of where the processes are,
at present, carried out by software applications or
manually.
