Submitting Modification Proposals
Who can raise a Modification Proposal?
BSC Modification Proposals can be raised by any BSC Party, by the National Consumer Council and by
any other body representative of interested third parties designated by the Gas
and Electricity Market’s Authority and by the BSC Panel itself in certain limited
circumstances.
When can I raise a Modification Proposal?
You can raise and submit a new proposal at any time. If you want the proposal to
be discussed at the next BSC Panel meeting, the deadline is 12pm eight working days
before the next meeting. BSC Panel meetings are held on the second Thursday of the
month and the deadline for new proposals is 12pm on the Monday of the week before.
This deadline allows ELEXON to put new proposals on the Panel meeting Agenda which
is circulated later that day.
What happens if I miss a deadline?
New Modification Proposals received between 12pm and 5pm on the Monday of the week
before may still be accepted, but Parties expecting to submit a new Modification
Proposal during this time should email the
Modifications Co-ordinator in advance of the deadline.
New Modification Proposals received after 5pm on the day of the deadline cannot
be included on the Agenda and will be submitted to the following meeting. Where
special circumstances such as public holidays require the deadline to be moved,
Parties will be informed by ELEXON.
