Glossary Term: Panel Chair

The BSC Panel is a group of industry experts and consumer representatives. Its role is to govern the BSC and ensure that all Parties comply with the code’s rules. The Panel Chair oversees the proceedings of the meetings.

BSC defined definition

The person appointed by the Authority to be chair of the Panel as described in Section B2.1; The Panel Chair shall be a person appointed by the Authority, which may follow such procedures as it shall determine for the selection of the person so appointed.

A person shall be appointed as Panel Chair where the Authority has given notice to the Panel Secretary of such appointment, with effect from the later of the date of such appointment specified in such notice and the date on which such notice is given.

A person shall not be appointed as Panel Chair until and unless that person has entered into an agreement in writing with BSCCo setting out terms as to his remuneration and benefit and any related matters.
