History of Project Isis
Contracts for IT hardware and software for the CVA BSC Agents were introduced in March 2001 for the New Electricity Trading Arrangements (NETA). The SVAA and the NHHDA and EAC/AA software systems were introduced in 1998. By the time these contracts expire in March 2009, the architecture and design used to deliver the BSC arrangements will be between eight and 11 years old.
The planned expiry of these contracts was an opportunity to reassess the requirements of key BSC Systems, the commercial framework under which the services are provided, and the software technology platforms.
In 2006, we worked with our customers to assess these requirements. We looked at the best times to change the software systems and at what scale of change was necessary and desirable to ensure the continued robustness of Settlement.
We’re procuring the CVA, SVA and Funds Administration services. BSC Agents contracted by ELEXON perform these services and it’s ELEXON’s job to manage them so that they deliver a seamless service to ELEXON’s customers: the electricity industry.
Project Isis is being deliverd under four stages:
Stage 1:
Identifying the options for change to the BSC Agent Services (complete)
Stage 2:

Stage 3:

Stage 4:
