All BSC Parties can receive any of this data upon request free of charge.
Non-BSC Parties must sign a one off ‘P30 Licence’ that will licence them as the sole user/receiver of the data. The data cannot be amended, distributed or sold on to any third party. The charges in the table below include the charge for the issue of the licence. If a non-BSC Party places a subsequent request for more data once they have bought a licence then the charge will be made up solely of the individual distribution cost of that data set and an ELEXON administration fee.
The charges are derived as follows:
Following a statement from the Authority (in its approval of Modification P30) which noted that cross-subsidisation was harmful to the development of competitive markets, the BSC Panel recognised that non-BSC Parties should pay for the costs associated with producing the data. The BSC Panel agreed that the costs for BSC data to non-BSC Parties should incorporate a cost for individual distribution, ELEXON administration and a fee towards the original development costs of the NETA systems used to produce the data.
Prices of all other data not specified in the table are available upon request. ELEXON sets and regularly reviews the prices that it charges to non-BSC Parties to ensure that it is delivering this data at the best possible value.
