Full and Summarised CVA Line Loss Factor Data - all GSP groups
What are CVA LLFs?
This page contains the Central Volume Allocation (CVA) Line Loss Factors (LLFs)
which are used in the BSC Systems as part of the settlement calculations.
CVA line losses are the distribution losses which are allocated to Embedded Generators,
or Distribution Systems Connection Points, registered within CVA. A CVA Line Loss
Factor is the multiplier which when applied to data from a CVA Metering System connected
to a Boundary Point on a Distribution System, converts such data into an equivalent
value at the Transmission System Boundary.
The BSC requires that CVA Line Loss Factors are submitted to ELEXON yearly by each
of the Licensed Distribution System Operators for sites where BSC Parties have demand/generation
registered in CVA. Submissions for new sites registered within CVA must normally
be made at least 40 working days in advance of the effective date. Once CVA Line
Loss Factors are received by ELEXON they will be processed in accordance with
BSCP28 ‘Approval and Notification of CVA Line Loss Factors’(90Kb)
.
CVA Line Loss Factors are subject to approval by the
BSC Panel but this is currently delegated to the
Imbalance Settlement Group (ISG). CVA Line Loss Factors that are awaiting
ISG approval have a status of ‘pending’.
If you require any further information regarding CVA LLFs please
contact the ELEXON Helpdesk on 020 7380 4222.
