SVA Line Loss Factor Data
The table below provides SVA Line Loss Factor Data for individual Licensed Distribution
System Operators (LDSOs).
Four files for each LDSO are available for download: a full file D0265 flow in ‘Standard
Pool’; ‘Pool Transfer’; ‘User File’ formats; and a Summary Report.
Where Line Loss Factors are updated over the course of the BSC Year, the published
files are replaced by new versions which do not include information on Settlement
Dates prior to the ‘Effective From Date’ of these new LLFCs.
The data below is often updated throughout the course of a year. If you require an earlier version from the year other than that currently displayed,
please contact the
ELEXON Helpdesk and it will be distributed within 10 working days.

To clearly identify each file they are named according to the following convention:
LLF<LDSO><Date><Format><Version>.<Type>
Where:

will be the four character Supplier Volume Allocation (SVA) Market Participant ID |
|
Date |
will indicate the first Settlement Date to which this file relates in the form YYYYMMDD |
|
Format |
will indicate which of the four file formats is used:
SPF – Standard Pool Format
PTF – Pool Transfer Format
UFF – User File Format
SUM – Summary Report |

Version |
will be a two digit version number for the file and will have a leading zero added
when less than 10 |

Type |
will indicate the underlying file type:
ZIP – ZIP file format
TXT – UNIX file format |
In cases where Line Loss Factor Classes (LLFCs) are discontinued, ELEXON does not
receive updated D0265 flows or summary files. To monitor whether a LLFC has been
discontinued Market Domain Data should be consulted to establish whether the LLFC
has an ‘Effective To Date’. In such cases Line Loss Factors pertaining to a LLFC
after that date should be disregarded.
The day types, as described in the summary report, have not changed since the implementation
of the British Electricity Transmissions and Trading Arrangement (BETTA), so will
not take account of the different bank holidays in Scotland.

approximately 0.5 - 1.0 MB after compression.
