Parties are encouraged to set up Authorised Signatories as soon as possible following Accession, whilst Party Agents (Energy Contract Volume Notification Agent (ECVNAs), Meter Volume Reallocation Notification Agent (MVRNAs), Central Volume Allocation Meter Operator Agents (CVA/MOA) will need to ensure Authorised Signatories are set up prior to, or in a parallel with, their registration in CRS. There are a number of Balancing and Settlement Code Procedure (BSCP) forms that will not be accepted by ELEXON or BSC Agents unless they are by a validated by an Authorised Signatory.
The process for setting up Authorised Signatories is defined within BSCP38 - Authorisations(74Kb) , available from the table below. It is highly recommended that potential applicants refer to the Simple Guide to Market Entry(104Kb) , which provides a high level overview of the Market Entry processes and requirements.
