Registration
Party Registration in Central Registration Systems (CRS)
The process for Party Registration is defined in
BSC Section A - Parties and Participation(151Kb)
and
BSCP65 - Registration of Parties and Exit Procedures (263Kb)
. Parties register their details such as Participation Capacity, Party ID and
contact details on Central Systems by completing a Party Registration
Application (
BSCP65/01 form(268Kb)
).
Parties who wish to become Trading Parties should note that, in accordance with
Section N of the BSC, Parties are required to submit a Funds Accession Form (
BSCP301/04(a)(1Mb)
)
to the CRA at least 10 working days prior to becoming a Trading Party.
Parties cannot be registered in CRS prior to the completion of the CVA Qualification
process as defined in BSCP70 - CVA Qualification Testing for Parties and Party
Agents.
Supplier Registration
Parties should note that registration of a Supplier role in CRS must be
coordinated with registration in Market Domain Data (MDD) via BSCP509.
In order that CRS and the Supplier Volume Allocation Agent (SVAA) systems
interface effectively, participants registering in the role of Supplier will
need to be qualified, in accordance with BSCP70, and have the Effective From
Date (EFD) for their Supplier role entered in CRS at least 10 working days
prior to the targetted MDD go live date.
Suppliers are also advised to contact Gemserv to ensure that all Master
Registration Agreement (MRA) requirements are addressed.
Licensed System Distribution Operator (LDSO) Registration
Registration in CRS of a Distribution System Operator role must be co-ordinated
with registation in MDD via BSCP509. It is also necessary to contact Gemserv to
ensure all Master Registration Agreement (MRA) market entry requirements are
addressed and to contact Ofgem regarding Distribution Licence arrangements.
BM Unit, Metering and other Registration Processes
Depending upon the roles(s) in which participants wish to register and in
addition to the processes indicated above, it may also be necessary to register
BM Units and Metering. Please see the
BM Unit and Metering Registration page for further information on
these processes.
It is also advisable to contact NGC to understand any registration requirements
they may have.
Party Agent Registration in Central Registration Systems (CRS)
The process for ECVNA and MVRNA registration is referred to in BSC Section J -
Party Agents and defined in BSCP71 – ECVNA and MVRNA Registration,
Authorisation and Termination.
Parties, ECVNA and MVRNA should note that they will be required to complete CVA
Qualification, in accordance with BSC Section O, prior to registration in
Central Systems.
