Performance Monitoring and Reporting is a detective technique. It complements other techniques through providing quantitative data designed to identify performance at certain points in the Settlement processes.
Who’s involved?
Performance data is submitted by Suppliers, Supplier Agents, Supplier Meter Registration Agents (SMRAs) and the Supplier Volume Allocation Agent (SVAA).
We then provide industry performance information to the Performance Assurance Board (PAB) and publish it with PAB meeting papers each month.
What are the performance measures?
Performance requirements are defined within Performance Assurance Reporting and Monitoring System (PARMS) ‘Serials’. A Serial is a defined area or process for performance measurement and the Standards are the required performance levels within the process.
A
guidance note on PARMS (220Kb)
provides an introduction to the process and an overview the PARMS Serials.
When is data submitted?
PARMS data provided by Supplier and Supplier Agents is sent to PARMS@elexon.co.uk within 20 Working Days (WDs) of the end of each month. Suppliers receive automated reports confirming what was submitted by Supplier Agents acting on their behalf. We process this information and extract it for our monitoring processes.
Suppliers that don't provide a complete set of performance data either themselves or via their Supplier Agents by the 20 WD deadline will incur a charge under the Supplier Charges technique.
We have provided a
timetable showing the dates by which PARMS submissions should be made (43Kb)
.
