Role Definitions
Central Volume Allocation (CVA)
Central Volume Allocation trading arrangements for wholesale electricity, as opposed
to SVA (Stage 2) trading arrangements.
Data Aggregator (DA)
Party Agent appointed by a Supplier to carry out the aggregation of metering data
received from Data Collectors and to forward such aggregated data to the SVAA.
Data Collector (DC)
A Party Agent appointed by a Supplier to retrieve, validate and process metering
data in relation to SVA Metering Equipment.
Data Transfer Service Provider (DTSP)
Service to Transfer Data between SVA Parties.
Half Hour (HH)
Duration of a Settlement Period. All trading of electricity is based on values within
each half hour.
Meter Administrator (MA)
A service appointed by a Supplier to determine energy consumption for Equivalent
Unmetered Supplies.
Meter Operator (MO)
A Party Agent appointed by a Supplier to install, commission, test and maintain,
and rectify faults in respect of Metering Equipment.
Non Half Hour (NHH)
Refers to meter equipment or data that is for a time period other than half hourly,
normally monthly or longer.
Supplier Meter Registration Agent (SMRA)
The agent who provides registration of SVA metering systems for a distributor.
Supplier Volume Allocation (SVA)
The determination of quantities of Active Energy to be taken into account for the
purposes of Settlement in respect of Supplier BM Units. Also used to denote Stage
2 trading arrangements.
