Barbara has been employed within the supply sector of the industry since 1991, initially with the Supply Businesses of Northern Electric, Yorkshire Electricity and as Regulatory Affairs Manager at Gaz de France ESS. Barbara began working for the Association of Electricity Producers as Head of Electricity Trading on 1 March 2008.

Barbara is an Industry Member of the BSC Panel and Panel Sponsor of the Imbalance Settlement Group (ISG).

Barbara was a member of the Pool Executive Committee and several sub committees under the Electricity Pool. In addition she also served on the Scottish Modifications Panel, NGC’s Transmission User Group and the Gas Network Code Panel. During the early stages of the development of the New Electricity Trading Arrangements (NETA) Barbara was involved with the Development and Implementation Steering Group and the Security of Supply Expert Group.

Since starting her work at the AEP, Barbara has been elected Chair of the APX UK Member Product Board, re-elected to the Connection and Use of System Panel, a position she ‘retired’ from in 2003, and has become a member of the Distribution Code and Grid Code Review Panels.
