Peter Teague

Title: Director (Non-Executive)

Peter Teague is a Chartered Accountant with extensive experience in the media, telecommunications and IT services industries. He has worked for major corporations, small and medium sized enterprises, public bodies and private equity backed businesses in the business-to-business and business-to-consumer markets. He has significant Board experience as well as a wide experience of operational and financial management, corporate governance and financial control, corporate finance, M&A and disposals, joint ventures and strategy and market/business development.

On graduating from Imperial College of Science and Technology, London University with a BSc in Mathematics in 1975, Peter completed his accountancy training with Peat Marwick Mitchell where he worked for four years before holding various positions with Equity Capital for Industry, Shalbourne Investments, County Bank and Arthur Young. In 1987 Peter joined the ISTEL/AT&T group where he worked for several years, commencing as Director Finance ISTEL/AT&T and holding a number of other senior executive positions before in 1995 being appointed as Executive Vice President and CFO of AT&YT Unisource. In 1997 Peter joined the BBC Worldwide as Finance and IT Director, subsequently becoming Managing Director UK Region & Deputy Chief Executive (1998-2001).

Peter has held a number of Non-Executive directorships, including in Anisa (UK) from1999-2006 (with a period 2003-2005 as Chief Executive). He is currently a member of the Board of Commissioners of The Gambling Commission (and chairman of audit committee), Chairman and Finance Director of New Technology 2006 Ltd, independent chairman of Ofcom’s audit committee, Non-Executive Director and part time CFO of Voice Commerce Group and Non-Executive director of Immedia Broadcasting plc (and chairman of audit committee and member of remuneration committee).
