Proposer: Ben Smith - National Grid

Submission date: 4 May 2011

Responsible Modification Group: Not Applicable

Lead Analyst: Michael Edwards

Recommendation to raise a Modification: Yes

Modification Raised: None/Not Yet Determined

Summary

The P231 Workgroup previously highlighted that an instruction to a single Black Start Station (e.g. during a localised shutdown) could result in the suspension of normal BSC market operations. National Grid has raised this Standing Issue to facilitate further industry discussion of this issue, and whether any changes are needed to the BSC and/or Grid Code.

History

The final Issue 42 report was presented to the BSC Panel at it meeting on 11 August 2011. The Panel agreed to close Issue 42.
