About the office environment


The Elexon offices are located on Euston Road and is a short walk from Warren Street Tube or from Great Portland Street tube stations.

It is surrounded by a number of other offices, local restaurants, cafes and other services. It has views across to the BT tower and is just around the corner from Regent’s Park and a stones through from The British Library.

About the building

The building is a modern, glass lined structure with a large reception area managed by the building owners and four lifts to the various floors.

Elexon use an Environmental Management System to record and monitor our monthly electricity consumption and have recently replaced all of the lights so that they use less electricity.

We have an open plan office environment across two floors with plenty of space for accessing each of the team work areas. We have also recently replaced all of the carpets.

The building achieved a 98.9% monthly average recycling rate for recent years and Elexon is keen to support that attitude.

For the financial year 2019/2020, the building will be supplied with 100% renewable electricity.

There are also regular book events on the ground floor once a month where you can purchase a range of books.

The Gift Aid from all sales at 350 Euston Road is donated to the following charities:

  • Third Age Project
  • Samuel Lithgow Youth Centre
  • St Mary’s Magdalene Church
  • Bengali Workers’ Association
  • UCLH
  • Fitzrovia Youth

Staff lunch area

We have a staff area with a collection of tables and comfy chairs, a kitchen, two microwaves, two vending machines, water dispensers and a coffee/tea machine. Staff are able to bring in and heat up their own food or something purchased from the local shops.

Twice a week we also have a range of fruit brought in which is available free to all staff.

We have a range of recycling facilities for food waste, paper and cans. There are also a collection of foodbank and toy recycling boxes for staff to contribute to.

Quality of office equipment

Our IT team supply us with laptops and docking stations and the wi-fi enables us to move between the various meeting rooms and floors without interruption. We have a number of meetings rooms and each of these has a projector and network connection.

Desks have plenty of space with screens fully adjustable and pedestals to help maintain our clear desk policy.

There are obviously important IT rules which apply to access and permissions but our policy is to ensure that our technology supports the working expectations of our staff.
