Credit Assessment Price (CAP) – price stays at £30/MWh

The Credit Committee deemed it appropriate to keep the Credit Assessment Price (CAP) at the current price of £30/MWh. Discussions were held by the Committee regarding whether to revise the current price of £30/MWh following recent changes in forward market prices.

Elexon will continue to monitor the CAP and will update the Credit Committee members and Industry to any significant changes. 

About the CAP

The CAP is a parameter used to determine a BSC Party’s Energy Indebtedness, and is reviewed when it moves above or below pre-set triggers (currently +/- £3/MWh of the CAP).
