Hear from the Energy Minister at Elexon’s 2021 annual seminar

Our annual BSC seminar takes place from 14:00 to 16:00 on 8 July 2021, where you will hear from the Energy Minister and other senior industry figures. Elexon’s senior leadership team will be providing an overview of our performance over 2020/21 and explaining how we have supported progress to net zero. You will also be able to vote to appoint the Board Directors.

Speakers

We have have a recorded message from Anne-Marie Trevelyan, Minister for Energy, Clean Growth and Climate Change. Our keynote speakers will be Fintan Slye, Director of National Grid ESO and Dermot Nolan, former CEO of Ofgem.  

Why attend the seminar

You will be able to get an overview about our performance over 2020/21 by our senior leadership team and learn how we have supported progress to net zero.

The team will also talk through our priorities for 2021/22, including our plans for implementing Market-wide Half Hourly Settlement (MHHS), our progress on digitalisation of the BSC, the roll out of our new digital platform Elexon Kinnect, and our continued support for net zero initiatives.

You will also have the chance to ask questions to the Elexon Board, the BSC Panel and our external speakers.

Appointing Elexon Board Directors

In keeping with best practice for corporate governance and accountability, all Elexon Board Directors should be subject to re-election via a vote at each annual seminar. This applies equally to directors who have been appointed, or reappointed at the preceding meeting.

If eligible, you are also able to take part in the voting to appoint the Board Directors at the seminar.
