Latest update to the submission of Market Domain Data and Line Loss Factor Classes Plan for Ofgem’s Targeted Charging Review
Find out the latest updates for 16 November 2020 regarding the submission of Market Domain Data (MDD) Plan for Ofgem’s Targeted Charging Review (TCR).
On 12 November, we provided an update to the BSC Panel on the progress we have made on the Market Domain Data (MDD) and Line Loss Factor Classes (LLFC) plan for Ofgem’s Targeted Charging Review (TCR).
Major update took place on 11 November 2020
As mentioned in last week’s article, on 11 November 2020 we published MDD v304 containing an MDD/TCR Change Request (CR) with ~1,638 LLFCs and ~37,000 new valid set combinations.
Should you experience any impact on your systems, please contact the MDD Coordinator or Line Loss Factors Coordinator.
Next steps
As we will continue to monitor the progress of the MDD published for November, and listen to feedback from Parties, we will look to finalise the Industry Testing plans with our service providers. These test plans will incorporate testing for Participants, the BSC Central Systems, and subsequent Settlement processes as they will be using the increased volumes of LLFCs. We will provide you with a further update on the test plan as soon as we can.
Elexon intends to seek approval for the remaining Distribution Network Operator (DNO) Change Requests relating to the TCR at the December SVG and Panel Meetings (1 and 10 December 2020 respectively) for MDD v306 published on 13 January 2021. There are more details in MDD Circular 00717. This is based on a low risk approach for implementation based on the volumes that have been published in previous versions of MDD.
