CP0789 – Enhancements to the Validation of Non Half Hourly (NHH) Metering Data in BSCP504 and PSL120
Formal title: Enhancements to the Validation of Non Half Hourly (NHH) Metering Data in BSCP504 and PSL120
Current Status
Summary
The current validation checks specified in BSCP504 and in PSL120 are lacking in certain areas: 1. The rules relating to the Maximum Demand Register Resets do not recognise a range of circumstances that may occur between meter readings. 2. The ‘zero consumption’ and ‘twice the expected consumption’ checks do not take account of Seasonal Tariffs, which may result in no consumption being recorded for several months each year. 3. The ‘twice the expected consumption’ check may fail due to the non-availability of Profile Coefficients, rather than any metering problems. 4. The ‘negative consumption’ checking does not clearly explain that negative consumption is valid in the circumstance where the last reading was deemed prior to an actual reading, providing the current reading is higher than the previous actual reading.
