CP0793 – Meter Readings failing NHHDC Validation

Formal title: Meter Readings failing NHHDC Validation

Current Status

Submission
Assessment
CPC Consultation
Committee Decision
Rejected

Summary

The validation checks performed by Non Half Hourly Data Collectors (NHHDCs) are used to highlight suspect meter readings that may require further investigation and possibly rejection. However, in some instances, the unusual readings are correct and should be entered into Settlement. This is often the case when Suppliers have been informed by their customers of specific circumstances and are expecting to see some unusual meter readings, which would be required for billing purposes. Any meter readings that fail validation are passed on to the Supplier. At present there is no mechanism that allows Suppliers to inform their NHHDCs that they should accept such rejected readings. This CP has been raised from SIR R2799 ‘Readings Failing Pool Validation’.
