Summary

SIR1927 It has been proposed that the Industry should recognise the existence of a last resort service for data retrieval (DR); this service is to be procured by the PESs. Such a service is a specific example of a generalised Data Retriever Service. Where this or any other Data Retriever is operational the outstanding parts of the current Data Collector role is known as a Data Processor. Where a Data Retriever Service is subcontracted to more than one Data Collector it would be of benefit to Participants, and applicants, to eliminate redundant work in the Certification and Entry Process procedures.
