Summary
Prior to the implementation of Modification P62 there were already a number of existing Metering Systems. Implementation of P62 requires Metering Systems to be migrated to a different SMRS and in all cases the creation of a new Metering System Identifier (MPAN) and the termination of the old one. However, the transfer of Metering Systems between Distribution businesses was excluded from P62.
