Current Status
Summary
Changes to CoP2 have resulted in existing Meters and/or Outstations that were previously compliant with CoP2, being non-compliant. Due to the lack of new products which have been developed that do comply with the requirements of CoP2, there are few products available for new installations. This relatively minor change would amend the requirements to the point where equipment, compliant before February 2008, would continue to be compliant and would continue to be available for new installations, whilst new products are being developed and approved.
Progression
CP1232 was raised on 29 February 2008. CP1232 was issued for participant Impact Assessment on 11 April 2008. CP1232 was presented to the ISG on 27 May 2008 for a decision on progression. The ISG approved CP1232 for inclusion in the November 2008 Release. CP1232 was presented to the SVG on 03 June 2008 for a decision on progression. The SVG approved CP1232 for inclusion in the November 2008 Release.
