CP1051 v3. 0 ‘Review of Metering Code of Practice 1 ‘The Metering of Circuits with a Rated Capacity exceeding 100MVA for Settlement Purposes’ and Code of Practice 2 ‘Code of Practice for the Metering of Circuits with a rated Capacity not exceeding 100 MVA for settlement purposes’ was approved by the ISG and then implemented in the February 2006 Release. One of the changes recommended the introduction of four password levels of security for retrieving and/or programming various metering parameters in CoP1 and 2. During the implementation of CP1051 v3. 0, the words ‘other than’ were omitted from the level 4 password requirements in CoP2. Elexon has raised CP1289, to amend the level 4 password requirements in CoP2, in order to be consistent with the requirement in CoP1.

CP1289 was raised on 01 May 2009. CP1289 was issued for Industry Impact Assessment as part of CPC00661. CP1289 was presented to the ISG on 23 June 2009 for a decision on progression. The ISG approved CP1289 and it was approved as part of the November 2009 Release.
