CP1436
Formal title: EAC/AA and NHHDA Applications – Windows Server upgrade
Current Status
Summary
The Non Half Hourly Data Aggregator (NHHDA) and Estimated Annual Consumption (EAC)/Annualised Advances (AA) software applications are designed to support running on a ‘Solaris only’ and a ‘Solaris/Windows Server’ platform. Two out of the 13 NHHDAs currently operate on Windows Server 2003 and the support to Windows Server 2003 will expire in July 2015.
Elexon understands that the two NHHDAs will be upgrading their systems to Windows Server 2012, which will be supported until 2023. Therefore CP1436 proposes that Elexon and its Application Management and Development (AMD) service provider will develop, test and deploy new versions of the NHHDA and EAC/AA applications that are compatible with a currently supported version of Windows Server.
Progression
CP1436 was raised by Elexon on 5 March 2015 and has been issued for CP Consultation. The SVG approved CP1436 on 28 April 2015 for implementation on 5 November 2015 as part of the November 2015 BSC Systems Release.
