CP1448 – Changes to allowable software for Method 3 Proving Tests

Formal title: Changes to allowable software for Method 3 Proving Tests

Summary

CP1448 proposes changes to BSCP502 and BSCP514 such that it will be a requirement for the Half Hourly Meter Operator Agent (HHMOA) to use data retrieval software that is approved under BSCP601 ‘Metering Protocol Approval and Compliance Testing’ for proving test Method 3.

This aligns with CP1439 and removes the risk to Settlement where unauthorised software may be used for a proving test. In addition, ensuring that only protocol approved software is used in proving tests to dial live Meters in Settlement significantly reduces the threat of data corruption.
