Summary

The BSC Audit Issue Review Group has been looking at whether proving tests are necessary in all cases. They have proposed that only the following scenarios require proving tests:
• Complex sites
• Where the Outstation can have a pulse multiplier other than 1
• Meters with a separate Outstation.

CP1472 proposes to amend BSCPs 502, 514 and 601 to remove the requirement for proving test for Meters that only have a pulse multiplier of one. It also proposes a new process for the validation of complex sites.
