CP1474 – Updating the CoMC processes to facilitate the elective HH Settlement of SMETS Meters

Progression

CP1474 was raised by Elexon on 14 October 2016. The new CP Progression Paper was presented to the ISG, PAB and SVG for information on 25 October 2016, 27 October 2016 and 1 November 2016 respectively. The CP was issued for Consultation on 7 November 2016 with responses due by 2 December 2016. The PAB, SVG and ISG approved CP1474 on 15 December 2016, 3 January 2017 and 4 January 2017 respectively.

Following discussions with Elexon, one respondent to the CP Consultation revised their position on CP1474 from disagreeing to agreeing with the proposed solution. To ensure that the respondent’s position was correctly recorded, Elexon updated the CP Consultation Responses and published version two of the CP Consultation Responses on 15 December 2016. The CP1474 Assessment Report was presented to the PAB on 15 December 2016, and a verbal update was provided to clarify the revision to the CP Consultation Responses.

Additional responses were included in version three of the CP Consultation Responses. The SVG and the ISG were issued version three of the CP Consultation Responses, which they considered when making a decision on CP1474.

Please note that the process diagrams (attached to Final CP Report) were produced to aid understanding of the CP1474 processes to support the CP Consultation. These are not enduring documents and should only be viewed in conjunction with the BSCPs redlining. In the event of any inconsistencies between the diagrams and the BSCPs, the BSCPs take precedence.

Next Events

The PAB, SVG and ISG approved CP1474 on 15 December 2016, 3 January 2017 and 4 January 2017 respectively. CP1474 was implemented on 29 June 2017 as part of the June 2017 BSC Systems Release.
