Summary

This CP implements that recommendations of Issue 73 ‘Review of fault management and resolution timescales’.

The proposed change includes:

  • the creation of a bespoke suite of communication flows to enable more effective commuications relating to the resolution of faults on Metering Equipment;
  • the creation of a Unique Fault Reference to enable faults to be identifiable and tracked throughout the lifetime; and
  • the creation of fault categories to enable better reporting of faults.

The CP will also clarify how details of open faults shuold be passed on a Change of Supplier or Change of Agent.

Progression

CP1524  was presented to the SVG and ISG for decision on 3 March 2020,  and the PAB on 26 March. CP1524 has been rejected. 

CP1524 was issued for CP Consultation on 13 January 2020, with responses invited by 7 February 2020.

The Progression paper for CP1524 was presented to the PAB on 19 December 2018, the ISG on 7 January 2020 and the SVG on 7 January 2020.

CP1524 was raised by Elexon on 13 December 2019.

Next Events

CP1524 was rejected by the ISG and SVG on 3 March and the PAB on 26 March 2020.
