Formal title: 'Increase the minimum data storage capacity for Settlement Outstations and mandate specific selectable integration periods for Metering Codes of Practice’
Current Status
Summary
CP1527 proposes the following changes:
- Increase the minimum data storage capacity for Settlement Outstations to 90 days per Outstation channel, at 30 minutes integration periods, for CoPs 1, 2, 3, 5 and 10; and
- Mandate specific, selectable, integration periods for CoPs 3, 5, and 10 (i.e. 30, 20, 15, 10 and 5 minutes) and add a test for this requirement (and for CoPs 1 and 2) into BSCP601.
Progression
CP1527 was raised by Elexon on behalf of the Issue 80 Workgroup. CP1527 was published for industry consultation over the period 10 February 2020 to 6 March 2020.
Following SVG and ISG on 7 April 2020 the Panel Committees deferred their decision on the proposed changed to BSCP601, CoP1, CoP2, CoP3, CoP5 and CoP10 subject to Elexon carrying out a Cost Benefit Analysis on the number of days for data storage requirements, presenting options other than 250 days and considering the impact of Covid-19 on the implementation Date.
Elexon presented the second version of the Assessment Report to ISG and SVG at their meetings on 7 July 2020. The solution presented changed the recommended minimum data storage capacity for Settlement Outstations to 90 days per Outstation channel, at 30 minutes integration periods, for CoPs 1, 2, 3, 5 and 10 with supportive analysis to justify the change. Both committees unanimously agreed to approve the CP.
CP1527 was implemented on 30 June 2022 as part of the June 2022 BSC Release.
