Treatment of the East West and Moyle Interconnectors in the SEM

Who will this impact?

Our response to the Single Electricity Market (SEM) Committee in the island of Ireland on the possibility of treating all the interconnectors between the island of Ireland and Great Britain as a single interconnector in the SEM. In our response we said that we have no view on whether the East West and Moyle Interconnectors should be treated jointly or separately under the SEM. However, we said that in either case, the two Interconnectors should be treated separately for the purposes of the BSC.
