This seminar is an all-day event that provides a useful introduction to Elexon and the different roles we perform across GB energy markets. You’ll hear presentations from a range of Elexon colleagues, as well as from a guest presenter from National Energy System Operator (NESO), and be given the opportunity to ask questions and network with other industry professionals.
Please note that this seminar will be held in-person only at our London offices.
This is the first of four Introduction to Elexon and the Energy Market seminars we will host in 2025. If you can’t make this date, please visit our other pages for events in April, September and November.
What topics will be covered?
- Elexon’s role in the wholesale energy market
- Transitioning to half-hourly settlement
- Elexon’s role in the changing energy landscape
- NESO’s role under the BSC as National Electricity Transmission System Operator
- EMRS’ role in the Capacity, Contracts for Difference and Nuclear RAB markets
- Elexon’s role in the flexibility markets
Who can attend?
This seminar is designed for industry professionals who are interested in learning more about Elexon’s roles in the wholesale, flexibility and capacity markets, and gaining an insight into the key projects we are currently working on.
Due to the increasing popularity of our seminars, we operate on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration will be open until seven days before the event date, or until the event is fully booked, whichever is sooner. Once the seminar is fully booked, registration will close online and we will operate a waitlist. Available spaces will then be filled in chronological order.
Costs
Our seminar is free for BSC Parties, organisations who are currently in the market entry process, not-for-profit organisations and students.
For any organisations or individuals who don’t fall under the above categories, the fee for attending the seminar is £390 (including VAT) per person.
