What’s the issue?

IT system maintenance will take place between 12:00 (BST) and 18:00 (BST) on Thursday 10 October 2019.

This is an Elexon IT systems outage and will not affect the BSC Central Systems.

Why is the outage required?

The outage is due to necessary maintenance on Elexon’s internal infrastructure.

How will I be affected?

During the outage, the networks will be intermittently unavailable; therefore, we will be unable to receive TIBCO messages, which are used for calculating the Balancing Mechanism (BM) Prices.

As a result, the BM Prices for Settlement Day Thursday 10 October 2019 may be less reliable than usual.

This will not be corrected until we have data from the Interim Information (II) run for these two Settlement Days.
