A planned power outage will take place between 18:00 (BST) Friday 18 September and 19:00 (BST) Sunday 20 September 2020. Please note these times are approximate and the length of the outage will be dependent on the maintenance work required.

This is an Elexon IT systems outage and will not affect the BSC Central Systems.

Why is the outage required?

The outage is a result of our annual building shutdown and will take place outside of working hours so there should be minimal impact on us and the BSC Parties.

How will I be affected?

During the outage, we will be unable to run Best View Prices, or receive the TIBCO messages which are used for calculating the Balancing Mechanism (BM) Prices. The Best View Prices that would have been published on the morning of Friday 18 September will not be published.

Instead, the Best View Prices will be published early on the morning of Tuesday 22 September. However, the BM Prices for the Settlement days Friday 18 September 2020 until Sunday 20 September 2020 will be less indicative than usual. This will not be corrected until we have data from the Interim Information (II) run for these two Settlement Days.
