Glossary Term: Licensable Generating Plant

A licensable generating plant is a facility that generates electricity for the purpose of supplying electricity to specific locations and premises. There is a set of standard licence conditions for each licensable activity. Licensees are obliged to comply with the licence conditions for their type of licence from the day the licence is granted. Licensees must also become party to and/or comply with certain industry codes.

BSC defined definition 

Means an installation comprising one or more Generating Units (even where sited separately), other than an Interconnector, owned and/or controlled by the same person, which may reasonably be considered as being managed as one power station; A Generating Plant which is not exemptable is “Licensable” Generating Plant.
