Glossary Term: Profile Coefficient

Acronym: PC

A Profile Coefficient is an estimate of the fraction of yearly consumption within each Settlement period. It can refer to a fraction of the whole year, or the fraction of consumption in a Settlement period relating to a single Meter register to the yearly consumption for that register.

These coefficients are derived from load profiles and are used to allocate electricity consumption to specific time periods. They help in determining the proportion of electricity used in each half-hourly settlement period.
