Glossary Term: TC (IEA) Energy Account

A transmission company energy account refers to the account managed by a transmission company (also known as a transmission system operator or TSO) that tracks the flow of electricity through the transmission network. The energy account is used for balancing and settlement and supports in reconciling the differences between the electricity scheduled for delivery and the actual electricity consumed.
