Elexon’s response to Electralink’s consultation on DCP350

Who will this impact?

In our response, we are supportive of the provision of increased information on embedded generation >1MW as it can lead to charges being more cost reflective, aid the operation of the system and aid parties in deciding where best to locate their assets.

The current proposal is for each DNO to create and publish their own register of embedded generation, whereas we have noted this creates fragmentation of data. We suggest that it would be better to send the registers to Elexon for publication on BMRS, thus keeping BMRS the central hub for industry information.
