Summary

P237 progresses one of the recommendations of the Issue 37 Group. It proposes that the list of standard BM Unit configurations set out in Section K of the Code is expanded to include an aggregation of Offshore Power Park Modules (where requested by the Lead Party and agreed by the Transmission Company). The Code currently requires each Offshore Power Park Module to be treated as a separate BM Unit. This is administratively inefficient for some configurations of offshore wind farms, and it is not necessary for the economic, efficient and co-ordinated operation of the Transmission System.

Progression

On 13 November, the Authority approved P237 and it was implemented on 20 November 2009.
