Summary

The Code requires licensable Generating Units to be separately metered. This includes those in Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) Modules, even though the Code considers CCGT Modules to be single BM Units. This means existing CCGTs may be non compliant without additional metering. P241 contends that requiring licensable Generating Units in CCGT Modules to be separately metered has no benefit to Settlement, and that therefore CCGT Modules should be excluded from the requirement to separately meter licensable Generating Units. This change aligns the Code requirements with the conventional practices for metering CCGTs.

Progression

On 21 January 2010 the Authority approved Proposed Modification P241 with an Implementation Date of 5 working days. P241 was implemented on 28 January 2010.
