P418 ‘Amendments to the P383 legal text for Additional BM Units’

The window to appeal the Panel’s decision to approve P418 as a Self-Governance Modification closed on 3 February 2021.

P418 was implemented on 1 April 2021 as a Standalone BSC Release.

About Releases

A Release is a packet of approved Modifications and Change Proposals which are usually all implemented on the same date (although occasional Releases may have more than one Implementation Date).

Releases allow multiple changes to be implemented at once, gives the industry a degree of certainty around the dates when changes will be implemented and gives Parties and Party Agents sufficient time to plan the changes to their systems and processes which are required to meet the new and amended requirements.

List of latest Change Releases

The Report Phase Consultation was issued 15 December 2020, with responses invited by 7 January 2021, to which no responses were received.

The Panel considered the Draft Modification Report at its meeting on 14 January 2021 and

• agreed that P418 does better facilitate Applicable BSC Objective (d);
• agreed that P418 does not impact the EBGL Article 18 Terms and Conditions held within the BSC;
• Determined that P418 is a Self-Governance Modification;
• approved P418;
• approved an implementation date of 1 April 2021; and
• approved the draft legal text.

P418 was raised by the BSC Panel at it’s meeting on 10 December 2020. 

At its meeting the Panel initially unanimously:

• agreed that P418 does better facilitate Applicable BSC Objective (d);
• agreed that P418 does not impact the EBGL Article 18 Terms and Conditions;
• agreed an recommendation that P418 should be approved;
• agreed an Implementation Date of 1 April 2021;
• agreed the draft legal text; and
• agreed that P418 should be a Self-Governance Modification.
