EL02929 : UPDATE – Issue Releasing Daily Reports from CRA

Further to Circular EL02923 and with the exception of the CRA-I014 Registration Report for 21 November 2018, we have been able to distribute all registration reports from the 22 November 2018 onwards. We are still investigating the cause of the failure to generate the CRA-I014 for 21 November 2018.

EL02918 : Planned downtime required for infrastructure upgrade 21 and 22 November 2018

There will be two periods of planned downtime impacting the Balancing Mechanism Reporting Service (BMRS) overnight on 21 November 2018; firstly from 17:15 (GMT) to 22:15 (GMT) on Wednesday 21 November 2018 and subsequently from 03:15 (GMT) to 08:15 (GMT) on Thursday 22 November 2018.

Both periods of planned downtime are required for National Grid and ELEXON to carry out the communications line infrastructure upgrade.

Following a reduction in its Credit Cover Percentage to remedy a Level 2 Credit Default, URE Energy Limited (company number 10300613, BSC Party ID ‘FARADAY’) is no longer in Default of the BSC.

The resolutions made by the BSC Panel in relation to that Party on 8 November 2018 as published in ELEXON Circular EL02910 are no longer in place.

EL02904 : Withdrawal from the Balancing and Settlement Code – Iberdrola Generación S.A.U (Party ID: IBERGEN, Agent Id: IBERAGEN)

Iberdrola Generación S.A.U will withdraw from the Balancing and Settlement Code (BSC) on 2 November 2018 in accordance with section A5.1 of the Code. Iberdrola Generación S.A.U (Party Id: IBERGEN Party, Agent Id: IBERAGEN) was previously registered as an Interconnector User and ECVNA. Its withdrawal should not affect any other Parties.

Iberdrola Generación S.A.U (Party Id: IBERGEN) has not traded within the last 14 months and has satisfied the criteria as set out in Section A5.1.3 of the BSC to enable it to withdraw.

EL02901 : Implementation of Dynamic LoLP for P305 Stage 2

On 1 November 2018, Approved Modification P305 ‘Electricity Balancing Significant Code Review Developments’  Stage 2 will be implemented. Because National Grid send ELEXON Loss of Load Probability (LoLP) data for up to 80 Settlement Periods in a single file, it is not possible to cut over from ‘static’ LoLP to ‘dynamic’ LoLP via a ‘big bang’ implementation at midnight on 1 November 2018. As a result, an alternative transitional approach is necessary.

EL02898 : Consultation on changing the value of DMAT and CADL

We are holding a consultation on the value of the pricing parameters De Minimis Acceptance Threshold (DMAT) and Continuous Acceptance Duration Limit (CADL). These parameters are used to classify and remove actions as part of the Imbalance Price Calculation.
