TERRE Standalone Release

National Grid ESO announced a delay to the GB Go-Live for Project TERRE until the end of October 2020 at the earliest due to COVID-19 pandemic. The current scope of this release mentioned below will now be implemented by 30 October 2020. 

P344 Project TERRE implementation into GB market arrangements:  P344 will align the Balancing and Settlement Code (BSC) with the European Balancing Project TERRE (Trans European Replacement Reserves Exchange) requirements. This release will allow the implementation of the TERRE balancing product at the national level and hence ensure compliance with the European Electricity Balancing Guideline (EB GL). 

Please Note: Wider Market Access enabling independent aggregators, also known as Virtual Lead Parties (VLPs), to participate in the GB Balancing Mechanism as part of P344 has already been implemented in December 2019.
