Issue 41: Improving the Quality and Accuracy of Data Flows

Formal title: Improving the Quality and Accuracy of Data Flows

Current Status

Performance Assurance Techniques look to detect non-compliance with the timeliness / quality of flows and ensure rectification of non-compliances. However, it often proves difficult to audit and enforce the quality of the data flows.

Whilst data flows sent according to agreed timescales may appear compliant, if these flows are inaccurate or incomplete it can result in long and costly delays whilst any issues are resolved.

Issue 41 has been raised by E.On UK to investigate how best to improve the quality of certain SVA data flows and to mitigate the issues that poor quality of such data flows cause.

Issue 41 was raised on 28 April 2011. The Issue 41 Final Report was presented to the BSC Panel at its meeting on 13 October 2011. The Panel agreed to close Issue 41.
