Approval of CP1574. CP1575 and CP1576 for implementation on 2 November 2023
On 6 June 2023 the Supplier Volume Allocation Group (SVG) approved CP1574 ‘Improving the use of the D0215 data flow in the relevant industry processes‘ and the Imbalance Settlement Group (ISG) approved CP1575 ‘Permitting the use of busbar voltage transformers within metering Codes of Practice 1 and 2’ for implementation on 2 November 2023 as part of the standard November 2023 BSC Release.
On 8 June 2023 the BSC Panel approved CP1576 ‘New Interconnector Fuel Type Category: Viking Link’ for implementation on 2 November 2023 as part of the standard November 2023 BSC Release.
What is the approved solution?
CP1574 includes removing the D0215 flow from the ‘New Supplier Volume Allocation (SVA) Metering System connection process’ and ‘Change of Measurement Class (CoMC) process’, and retaining the D0215 for general investigative processes (e.g. Current Transformer (CT) / Voltage Transformer (VT) mismatch issues).
CP1575 updates Code of Practice (CoP) 1 and CoP 2 to allow busbar voltage transformers to be used. The solution will apply to onshore sites (generally), as well as Offshore wind farms, in line with the recommendations of the Issue 87 Workgroup.
CP1576 introduces a new ‘Fuel Type Category’ which will be created for the Viking Link Interconnector and the data will be subsequently published on existing Balancing Mechanism Reporting Service (BMRS) and the replacement ‘Insights Solution’.
Who will be impacted?
CP1574 impacts:
- Suppliers
- Licensed Distribution System Operators (LDSO)
- Supplier Volume Allocation (SVA) Meter Operator Agents
CP1575 impacts:
- Central Volume Allocation (CVA) Meter Operator Agents
- Half Hourly (HH) Data Collectors
- SVA Meter Operator Agents
CP1576 impacts:
- National Electricity Transmission System Operator (NETSO)
- Balancing Mechanism Reporting Agent (BMRA)
