Architecture Working Group (AWG)

The AWG is one of three industry working groups which Elexon is chairing and providing with technical leadership to support Ofgem’s Significant Code Review on Electricity Settlement Reform.

The AWG will build on the Target Operating Model (TOM) for Market-wide Half Hourly Settlement, as delivered by the Design Working Group in August 2019, by developing, consulting on and recommending solution architecture to enable the preferred TOM. This solution architecture will set the framework for subsequent IT system design.

For each AWG meeting, we produce a Headline Report summarising its discussions (see ‘Meetings’ below). We will also publish more information as the group’s work progresses.

What’s new?

Due to a variety of factors including COVID-19, we are currently re-planning the AWG’s activities with Ofgem. We will publish a revised plan as soon as possible. In the meantime, the diagram below is our latest view of the key milestone timings.

Since March 2020, all AWG meetings have been held remotely and this will continue until at least the beginning of 2021. See here for more information on how we are approaching remote meetings.
